This is a logo created for a music festival that was supposed to be a love letter to the 1980’s with a strong focus of the musical talents of that time. The plan was to take inspiration from the MTV logo and allow the logo to be dynamic, with lots of color variations and animations when appropriate.

This logo variation was created for the selection of items within the store that sells sugar free candy. This variation was of particular importance to be distinct, since the target demographic needed to have a clear message that the candy they were buying had no sugar and couldn’t be confused with the normal candies in the store.

Sonic Toad is a business and blog that is aimed towards indie game developers and entrepreneurial types in general. It is run by the talented and insightful, Rachel Presser.
Rachel had an existing brand that she wanted me to update, so I worked with her carefully to make sure that her ideas translated into the visions that she had for her business.

These were some preliminary thumbnail sketches for the logo mark for Sonic Toad. I parsed down the many thumbnails I did to 5 of the strongest concepts, and from there we went on to develop the mark further. Rachel chose to go with the mark that was the least abstract, and that would lend itself to an awesome toad illustration for other applications.

This logo was created from a selection of illustrated type sketches that I presented to the client. We then narrowed down the selection to what we felt best represented the tone that we wanted to go for. I then scanned in the sketch, and rendered it in a pixel art style.

These are some sketches where created where I explored the type for the final logo. The typography aspect of this logo was fun, and the scripted type was refined when I started it render it.

This was a game logo created for an action platformer game. It was designed with the videogame logos of the 1990’s in mind.
The scalable version was important, because they had an intent to use the logo on print assets. Having two versions of logo in this capacity was important in maintaining the retro authenticity of the printed assets.

I drew many thumbnail sketches for this logo that all explored different custom type. The client narrowed it down to two of their favorites and then I drew more detailed roughs of those designs.

Part of the process used to make the graphics. I drew out a bunch of different bears and kids text in crayon and picked the best of the bunch for the final logo.

This is the sketch I drew for the dog head illustration used in the main logo. It was based off of a picture I took of the office dog.

These were designed to be used as promotional boxes that could contain little goodies that the developer, Moragami, could send out.
